Jules Koumoin netted two goals as Don Bosco Garelli United FC claimed the full three points against Manila Montet FC with a 4-0 whipping in Saturday’s Philippine Football League action at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

Garelli overtook Philippine Air Force FC in 13th place, only behind Tuloy FC on goal difference, while Montet remained winless at the bottom of the table..

Montet, who have yet to find their first win of the season, forced a stalemate in the first half, holding Garelli despite numerous chances which were denied by Montet’s Mark Jones.

Victor Felicia sparked Montet’s hope of a first win with a big attempt in the 47th minute from distance, only to be denied by Garelli goalkeeper John Misagal, who pushed to the crossbar.

Garelli finally broke the deadlock in the 50th minute from the penalty spot as Jangobah Johnson sent his effort past Jones.

Koumoin doubled Garelli’s lead in the 73rd minute, off a through ball pass from Johnson. Koumoin went on to score his second in quick succession as he had to beat three defenders to make it 3-0.

Aljun Baclason, who was subbed in the 75th minute, added a fourth goal, taking advantage of a mistake by Jones who moved out of his line, but failed to keep the ball out of his net.

Montet tried to bury a consolation goal in the game’s last play but Mark Allan Ordiz only sent his shot straight at the Garelli defense.
