Dynamic Herb Cebu FC claimed another huge win after defeating Davao Aguilas UMak FC, 1-0, in the battle of the league’s second and third placed teams last Sunday at the Dynamic Herb Borromeo Sports Complex in Talisay, Cebu.
Chima Uzoka struck in the 52nd minute for the only goal of the match as Cebu dealt Davao its first loss of the season.
More importantly, Cebu remained in striking distance of leaders Kaya FC Iloilo, which holds a one point advantage on the Gentle Giants in the table.
Even with the loss, Davao is still in the title race with 23 points from nine matches.
