Loyola FC came from behind to defeat a resilient Philippine Army FC squad in a 4-3 thriller in Sunday’s last fixture at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

Jorrel Aristorenas converted a penalty after substitute Franck Anoh was fouled inside the box with seconds remaining in stoppage time, enabling Loyola to complete the comeback and secure their third win of the season.

The Troopers looked poised to register their first win of the season when Jimuel Arriola headed them in front just before halftime after John Celiz cancelled out Emmanuel Kante’s 13th minute opener.

William Winter equalized for Loyola in the 59th minute with Kante providing the assist. With momentum on their side, Loyola took the lead in the 80th minute as Anoh fired home Ousmane Sedibe’s cross.

Army refused to give up with Jalsor Soriano heading home a cross by Ricardo Becite near the end of regulation, before Aristorenas settled the outcome.
