Ousmanne Sidibe found the back of the net late in the second half as Loyola FC forced a 2-2 draw with Maharlika Taguig last Sunday in the Philippines Football League at Rizal Memorial Stadium.

The draw saw both teams jack up their tally to 13 points, although Loyola occupies eighth spot ahead of Maharlika on goal difference.

Maharlika took command of the contest with two first half goals, thanks to Lucas Del Rosario’s eighth minute strike.

Gael Basana, who set up Del Rosario’s goal, scored the second in the 28th minute with Del Rosario assisting on his strike.

Korean striker Sungmin Kim gave Loyola a lifeline in first half stoppage time with his chip beating Mamadou Sene on the Maharlika goal.

But Loyola had one more goal in them. Continuing the trend of late goals from coach Roxy Dorlas’ side, Sidibe finished off a wonderful sequence that saw Kim find William Winter in the area. Winter showed composure to control the ball for Sidibe to knock home top make it 2-2.
