The meeting between first place and last place saw defending champions Kaya FC-Iloilo firing 14 goals in their rout of Manila Montet FC in Saturday’s Philippines Football League at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

New signing Martini Rey and forward Do Kyung Lee combined for eight goals as Kaya remained at the top of the table with 28 points with only five matches left in the season.

Rey sparked a six-minute goal scoring spell as he opened the scoring in the fifth minute. Lee followed suit two minutes later, netted his brace in the 11th minute, and completed his hat-trick in the 22nd minute.

Kaya continued to pour in the goals as Sherwin Basindanan added a fifth goal for Kaya in the 24th minute followed a goal from the returning Mark Swainston in the 26th minute before Rey fired his second goal two minutes later.

Lee would add a fourth goal in the 34th minute while Rey added two more goals in the 39th and 59th minutes to complete his hat-trick

Kaya added further gloss to the already high-scoring game as Jovin Bedic, Yi Young Park, Marwin Angeles, and league top scorer Jarvey Gayoso finished the rout with a goal each.
