Stephan Schröck mounted a midfield masterclass, delivering five assists, as One Taguig FC surged to an emphatic 7-1 victory against Loyola FC in Sunday’s PFL fixture at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

Loyola FC, sitting 8th in the league with 16 points, were no match for One Taguig, who picked up all three points to close within just two points shy of Davao Aguilas FC in sixth place.

In the 8th minute, Tsukasa Shimomura headed in a precise cross from Schrock to open the scoring. Schrock was instrumental again in the 23rd minute, feeding Yannick Tuason, who sent it to Shimomura for the second goal.

Loyola found a lifeline in the 44th minute, William Winter capitalized on a defensive error, striking from outside the box to reduce the deficit.

However, Loyola’s celebrations was short-lived as Jahanbaksh Taher responded in stoppage time with a header off Schrock’s delivery to make it 3-1 at the break.

Taguig extended their dominance in the second half. Arnel Amita fired in a through ball off another Schrock delivery in the 50th minute.

Substitute Andres Aldeguer also netted a brace in the 68th and 79th minutes, before Misagh Bahadoran capped off the rout with his first goal of the season, with a header off Schrock’s corner in second half stoppage time.
