Kaya FC-Iloilo have a packed schedule ahead of them this coming June with the AFC Champions League preliminary round and the AFC Cup.
The 2020 runners up faces A-League side Brisbane Roar in the preliminary round on 20 June 2021. Should they advance to the next round, a match against Chinese Super League side Shanghai Port FC is scheduled three days later.
In the event that Kaya qualifies for the AFC Champions League group stages, they will head to Thailand for the group F matches alongside Thai League champions BG Pathum United, 2020 AFC Champions League winners Ulsan Hyundai, and V League side Viettel FC.
Should Kaya bow out from the preliminary or playoff round, they will compete in the AFC Cup. The Iloilo side is in Group I of the competition alongside Terengganu FC of Malaysia, Geylang International FC of Singapore, and the winner of the play-off match between Visakha FC of Cambodia and Lalenok United FC of Timor Leste. The AFC Cup matches will be played from 30 June until 06 July 2021 at the Jalan Besar Stadium in Singapore.
Kaya bolstered their squad during the offseason with the signing of Jhan Melliza and Fitch Arboleda from Stallion Laguna FC, and foreign players Patrick Asare and Ryo Fujii.
