Kaya FC-Iloilo continued their fine run in the Philippines Football League brought to you by Qatar Airways after a 3-1 come from behind win over the Azkals Development Team, Saturday at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.
The win saw Kaya go 42 points clear at the top of the standings on the back of a four-game winning streak. ADT, on the other hand remain in fourth with 21 points having lost their second straight fixture.
Kaya went a goal down in the opening 10 minutes of the match. Oliver Bias picked out Pocholo Bugas on the right flank, who then squared it to Andres Aldeguer for the opening goal.
Dennis Chung came close to giving ADT a 2-0 lead in the 18th minute. An errant back pass by Mar Diano allowed Chung to break free of the defense, but his effort was denied by Zach Banzon.
Audie Menzi levelled things in the 29th minute. Daizo Horikoshi sent in an inviting corner to the box that found Menzi who sent it in past Kammeraad.
Jarvey Gayoso flipped the switch with just seconds in to the second half. Horikoshi once again provided the long ball for the forward, who bursted into space and fired it past Kammeraad.
ADT tried to will their way back in the game, but missed several chances from Bias, Chung, and Aldeguer.
With time running out, substitute Arnel Amita ensured the three points with a nifty dribble to go past Kammeraad before firing from close range.
