Yusuke Unoki bagged a hat-trick as Davao Aguilas FC delivered a stunning 8-0 victory over Maharlika Taguig FC in Sunday’s PFL at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

Davao’s title hopes remained alive went up to fourth place, tied in points with Stallion Laguna, but behind on goal difference, with Kaya looming in their next fixture in a rematch of last year’s Copa Paulino Alcantara.

Unoki opened the scoring in the 8th minute, before Ibrahima Ndour headed in a cross from Dosso Lancine, two minutes later. OJ Clarino made it 3-0 in the 14th minute from a close ranged effort

Unoki scored his second goal in the 34th minute as Davao raced to a four goal lead at the half.

Jhomaray Sapal added to Davao’s tally in the 72nd minute before Kart Talaroc scored a remarkable goal in the 78th minute with a powerful strike.

Unoki completed his hat-trick in the 90th minute from a well taken free-kick before turning provider to Marvin Bricenio, who tapped in the final goal, sealing the dominant victory.

With this win, Coach Aber Ruzgal and the Aguilas’ title hopes remain alive as they climb to fourth place, overtaking United City FC. They are now tied in points with Stallion Laguna, although trailing on goal difference. This result boosts their momentum and keeps them in contention for a top spot in the league.
