MANILA – Cebu and Stallion Laguna crushed their respective rivals while One Taguig picked up from where they left off last season, winning comfortably at the start of the Philippines Football League 2024-25 season at Rizal Memorial Stadium.

Cebu dominated Mendiola, 6-0, thanks to two goals each from Abou Sy and Rintaro Hama last Sunday.

Loyola and Davao were supposed to play the first game but the PFL decided to reschedule the match to a later date.

Instead, it was Stallion that opened the season up against Maharlika Taguig, cruising to a 4-1 win.

New signing Kenshiro Daniels bagged two goals after Finn Mcdaniel opened the scoring with a close range volley.

One Taguig capped the weekend with a decisive win as Tsukasa Shimomura found the back of the net twice in the first half before Daisuke Sato added a third ensuring maximum points for his new club.
