Loyola FC came back from a one-goal deficit to come out on top, 3-2, over Mendiola FC 1991 in the Philippines Football League at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium.
Facing a 1-2 hole after the first half, Alassane Wade delivered an equalizer in the 49th minute after skying high for a header via a corner kick from Curt Dizon.
Rico Andes completed a brace in the 52nd minute thanks to a chip pass from Ivan Ouano.
Mendiola took an early lead after Milad Behgandom scored a tap in the 41st minute.
Behgandom then delivered an assist to Amir Memari in the 42nd minute for a 2-0 lead.
Andes then pulled one goal back for Loyola after scoring a tap in during the 44th minute.
“Two weeks ang naging preparation namin. Ang mind set sa akin ng mga coaches ay ‘If you are a striker, you need to score,” Andes said.
