Maharlika Manila FC announced on Friday, 30 July 2021, the hiring of Arvin Jay Soliman as its new head coach for the upcoming 2021 PFL season.

A former football player, who once played for Green Archers United and served as head coach of Adamson University in the UAAP, Soliman brings a renewed hope for Maharlika Manila as the capital club prepares for their second season in the country’s professional football league.

Joining Soliman as assistant coaches are former national team players Alvin Ocampo and Adrian Payson.

“I’m very thankful to Maharlika Manila FC especially to Anton del Rosario and Choy Calunsod for the opportunity and trust that they have given to me,” said Soliman. “I also look forward in working with my assistants, Coach Alvin (Ocampo) and Coach Adrian (Payson) and the team as we prepare for the league.”

Maharlika Manila began their season preparations last Thursday at the PFF National Training Center in Carmona, Cavite and Soliman expects the players continue to grow as the season progresses.

“We had a good first training session and I saw the potential of the players. It’s great that we’re able to train on the pitch because everyone is eager to play once again,” added Soliman. “I expect the team to try their best to be competitive this coming PFL season, and to win every match.”

The Manila club also announced its key reinforcements this season as Joaquin Cañas, Cedric Martinez-Hodreal, and Jose Montelibano all committed for the upcoming seasons.
