Dynamic Herb Cebu FC bounced back from last week’s late defeat at the hands of Kaya FC-Iloilo with a thrilling 3-1 win over One Taguig FC at the Dynamic Herb Sports Complex.
Cebu gave Taguig a rude welcome in the 26th minute as Chima Uzoka headed home a goal off a corner kick from the left hand side.
Taguig equalized two minutes into the second half with Yannick Tuason’s instinctive finish off a hopeful ball from Stephan Schrock. It was Cebu defender Charles Dabao’s mistimed clearance that allowed Tuason to gire past goalkeeper Yusuf Cekic.
But Cebu would not be denied in front of the home crowd as Rintaro Hama scored the Gentle Giants’ second goal in the 77th minute before Abou Sy added a third goal five minutes from time.
The result allowed Cebu to go up to fourth in the standings with 14 points while handling Taguig its first loss of the season as they now sit in seventh place with 11 points.
