Dynamic Herb Cebu FC collected their fourth home win of the season after dispatching Philippine Air Force FC in Sunday’s PFL action at the Dynamic Herb Borromeo Sports Complex in Talisay, Cebu.
The win put the Gentle Giants in fourth place with 15 points just a point behind leaders Stallion Laguna, Kaya FC Iloilo, and Davao Aguilas UMak.
With another huge Sunday crowd backing them up, Cebu got off to a dream start with Chima Uzoka heading in Guytho Mijland’s free kick on the left hand side.
Air Force stayed resolute for the remainder of the first half, but the home side turned its performance up a notch in the second half.
A costly mistake from Antonio Albor, Jr. doubled Cebu’s lead right at the start of the second half. Devrim Yanik’s intended cross for Rintaro Hama was turned in by the Air Force defender towards his own net.
Hama scored on a diving header past Mark Mendome just minutes later while Mijland was also on target in the 88th minute. Yoji Selman added a fifth in fourth minute of added time to seal the three points for Cebu.
