There was no stopping Stallion-Laguna en route to their second win in as many games as they cruised by Loyola FC, 5-0, earlier Saturday at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.
Juan Galleana-Trujillo and Junior Ngong Sam each picked up a brace as Stallion followed up its 7-0 conquest of Garelli with another strong performance.
Loyola, who are playing in their first PFL season since 2017, found themselves matching Stallion-Laguna’s tempo early on in the match. New Stallion signing Jose Dourado created problems from the left wing, while returning Loyola player Jorrel Aristorenas manned the midfield against his former team.
Finn McDaniel assisted Mexican Galleana-Trujillo’s opener in the 31st minute from a cross on the left. There was no looking back as Co-captain McDaniel doubled Laguna’s lead five minutes later.
Coming out of halftime Loyola goalkeeper Isaac Annan had his work cut out. Galleana-Trujillo got going quickly as he got his brace in the 49th minute.
Sam picked up a brace of his own in a span of five minutes (78’ and 83’) to wrap up the scoring. McDaniel picked up a goal, assist, and was given Man of the Match honors.
