Jeon Sancheon scored three goals as Manila Digger FC delivered a resounding 7-0 victory over DB Garelli United FC in Saturday’s PFL action at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.
The victory propelled Digger to a total of 21 points for the season, maintaining their seventh place in the PFL standings, while Garelli remained pegged in 13th place.
Manila Digger asserted their dominance early in the match. Darwin Regala opened the scoring in the fourth minute with a deceptive strike that caught everyone off guard, and finding the back of the net.
Earl Piñero doubled Digger’s lead in the 35th minute with a beautifully curled effort from distance, leaving the Garelli United goalkeeper helpless.
The goals continued to come for Manila Digger just before halftime, as Dean Ebarle set up Daiki Jahana for a thunderous strike in the 43rd minute, making it 3-0.
The second half witnessed Jeon complete his hat-trick. The Korean tapped in a cross in the 47th minute to extend Digger’s lead to 4-0. scored again in the 49th minute after Ashley Flores found him with a precise pass, allowing the forward to slot home and secure a brace for himself.
Daiki Jahana provided the assist for Jeon’s hat-trick in the 56th minute.
The relentless pressure from Manila Digger continued, with Su Diao crossing the ball into the box in the 73rd minute, where Dean Ebarle calmly tapped it in to make it 7-0 to complete result.
