Tsukasa Shimomura fired in six goals to spearhead One Taguig FC’s 17-0 demolition of Don Bosco Garelli United FC, in Saturday’s opening fixture at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.
The victory propelled One Taguig FC to 24 points, with three games remaining in the season, while also setting a league record for the biggest score scoreline the in PFL.
Jahanbaksh Zabihi Taher broke the deadlock in the 18th minute with a back heeled finish from Naoto Hiraishi’s pass, before Shimomura doubled the lead a minute later by flicking in a Stephan Schrock through ball
Shimomura continued his onslaught with a direct free-kick that hit the crossbar and into the net just four minutes later.
Shimomura completed his hat-trick in the 27th minute, dribbling past three defenders inside the box to make it 4-0
Arnel Amita added a fifth goal in the 32nd minute after another Schrock through ball as Shimomura raised his tally to four goals off a rebound in the 34th minute and added fifth goal five minutes later.
Naoto Hiraishi added Taguig’s eighth goal in the 40th minute, and Taher scored his second of the match in first-half stoppage time to make it 9-0 of an assist by Hiraishi.
Taguig continued its onslaught in the second half with Shimomura netting his sixth goal of the match in the 49th minute.
