The cast for the highly anticipated Copa Paulino Alcantara 2021 is complete following the competition draw held Wednesday night, 27 October 2021, through an online draw ceremony.
2020 PFL champions United City FC lead the participants for the cup competition along with last year’s runners up Kaya FC-Iloilo. Azkals Development Team, Mendiola FC 1991, Stallion Laguna FC, and newcomers Dynamic Herb Cebu FC round up the participants for the Cup.
PFL commissioner Coco Torre conducted the virtual draw in the attendance of the representatives of the six participating clubs.

Group B: Kaya FC-Iloilo, Azkals Development Team, and Mendiola FC 1991
The top two teams will advance to the knockout stages, while the third placed teams from each group will contest in the Plate Final. The losing teams from the semi-final will play in the Battle for Third Place, while the winning semi-finalists will compete for the championship.
PFL and PFF conducted the pre-competition meeting with the clubs on Friday 29 October 2021 following the competition draw. The meeting touched base on the Copa’s function areas such as Competition Matters, Security and Accreditation, Refereeing, Disciplinary, Medical, Marketing and Media, and Child Safeguarding.
“As we approach the kickoff date, it was important to brief the clubs on how PFF and PFL will conduct the competition through the pre-competition meeting,” said Torre. “We greatly look forward to see our teams back in action, through the Copa Paulino Alcantara which will kickoff on 07 November 2021.”
