United City FC grabbed their third win of the season after downing DB Garelli United, 7-0, in Sunday’s opening match at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.

It is the third straight win for United City after yielding its first assignment against defending champions Kaya FC-Iloilo on Matchday 1.

Working alongside Mark Francisco, new head coach Ramon Santolaya, who replaced Marian Mihail, was on the bench as the former champions dominated Garelli.

Skipper Ricardo Sandra broke the deadlock in the ninth minute, heading home a corner, before Gio Pabualan doubled the lead three minutes later off a cross from Troy Limbo.

Ariel Ngeukam scored twice with goals in the 34th and 52nd minutes, before substitutes Jemar Andrade and Darlton Digha made it 6-0 in the 64th and 75th minutes.

Haji Nurhidayat completed the rout in the 81st minute as United City moved up to seventh in the standings with nine points from four matches.
