2021 Copa Paulino Alcantara winners Kaya FC-Iloilo meanwhile, have one foot to the Champions League through the preliminary and play-off stages. Kaya will face the third placed team from Australia on 08 March 2022 with the winner facing Changchun Yatai of China PR in the play-off round on 15 March 2022.
Kaya will be in Group H alongside Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors of Korea Republic, Yokohama F. Marinos of Japan, and Hoang Ahn Gia Lai of Vietnam should they win their matches in the preliminary and play-off rounds.
